Warrenheip masterplan unveiled

It was a thrill for us to be part of the Committee 4 Warrenheip Masterplan launch. This project has been bubbling along in the pipeline for some time and was publicly presented last week.

Our Community Bank, along with Community Bank Ballan & District understand how important it is to empower community members to drive outcomes for their own local areas. That’s why both Community Banks have been 100% behind this project, including the creation of the Committee and now the development masterplan.

Community Bank Buninyong Chair Ian Corcoran said “this project was about giving the Warrenheip community complete ownership of their masterplan and how they imagine the area developed in the future. What was essential, was the early consultation and collaboration including indigenous representatives, environmental representatives and Council. I’d like to thank David Hay for the extensive effort he went through during the consultation process”.

The community turned up to learn about the unveiled plans and what the group is striving to achieve over the coming years.

Committee for Warrenheip President Julian Prendergast said “the Committee 4 Warrenheip, together with the Warrenheip Recreation Reserve Committee of Management have put a lot of work into the masterplan after extensive consultation with the community. We look forward to implementing the plan in the coming years”.

“Of course, projects like this cost of great deal of money and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss funding options with any interested stakeholders” he said.
