Nellei Jerring Program Funded

Last year we supported the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation Nallei Jerring Program and we’re now excited to announce a 3-year partnership with the Foundation to deliver the program locally through to 2026.

We know this partnership is crucial in empowering First Nations young people across the region as they grow in their culture and as leaders in the community .

The innovative program is designed to increase understanding and connection to community, culture and positive self-identity for young First Nations students. It’s all about developing leadership advocacy skills and developing connections with other students throughout Ballarat.

The program involves during-school sessions and excursions across a number of months. With participants from nine local schools, there is commitment from almost all the private, public and catholic high schools in the area.

A fully signed Western Bulldogs jumper was presented to Annabelle and Randall last week by Foundation Representative Jamal Firebrace and includes signatures from Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, Marcus Bontempelli, Tom Liberatore, Cody Weightman and Bailey Smith.
