Little things, big impact

Our Community Bank proudly sponsored a transformative weekend program ‘The Little Things Exhibition and Youth Wellbeing Project’ that united young individuals from Wadawurrung and Wotjobaluk Country, encompassing Ballarat and the Wimmera region. The event was held in conjunction with the Ballarat International Foto Biennale and featured an interactive photography exhibition on ‘wellbeing’. We know how important it is to foster wellbeing, social connections, and insight into post-school pathways which is why we said ‘yes’ to supporting this inclusive program incorporating visual arts and teambuilding activities. The launch event was attended by nearly 50 individuals, including the Honourable Catherine King. It created a platform for young people to engage with guest advocates and gain knowledge about local health services, including headspace. Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council representative Meg Lee said “the event culminated in a visit to central Ballarat to explore the Ballarat International Foto Biennale's exhibits, with Lisa Roet's giant monkey capturing the imagination of the attendees. Community Bank Buninyong’s commitment to youth empowerment and community cohesion was evident throughout this inspiring weekend program”.
