Our Community Bank said ‘yes’ to supporting the Buninyong Christmas Festival again this year. Our Community Partnerships Lead Kelly Bevan also assisted Buninyong Community Events Inc. apply for state government Tiny Towns Funding in which they were successful in securing $28,000 for the event.
The beauty of this project is seeing local groups come together delivering an all-of-community event. The Buninyong Men’s Shed will be instrumental in building diorama boxes for local artists to decorate for Christmas windows. The Men’s Shed has been involved in previous years making elves and trees, so the boxes should be an easy project in 2024.
Member for Eureka, Michaela Settle MP was on hand recently to share the good news of Tiny Towns Funding with the local groups involved.
Buninyong Community Events Inc representative Miranda Donald said “with the support of local traders and community groups, this event aims to be a point of social connection for all ages and also a chance to meet, explore and celebrate across the generations. The festival will be a free event that will provide a memorable experience of the Christmas season”.
The festival will run in Buninyong later this year across December 6,7,8, and December 13,14,15.
