Celebrating 150 Years in Clarendon

What a day it was at the "Back to Clarendon" celebration in October. Our Community Bank was proud to have supported the 150-year milestone by funding the lunch and afternoon tea for over 140 current and former residents who came together to mark the occasion at the Clarendon Recreation Reserve.

The event marked a major milestone in local history, as the Reserve has been a cornerstone of the community since 1974! From horse races and cricket matches to sporting events and tennis games, they've all been held at the Reserve.

Committee Representative Trevor Smith said, "To have over 140 people attending from all parts of Australia was a great reward for all the hard work our committee did in organising the day with the support of our generous sponsors."

The celebration wasn’t just about looking back, it also showcased the improvements made to the reserve over the past 10 years and provided an opportunity for community members to gather, reconnect and reflect on their shared history.

Families purchased trees and plaques to remember their loved ones and the place they once called home.
