Our Community Bank proudly co-funded the upgrade of Ballarat Regional Industries (BRI @ballaratregionalindustries) food packing and handling facilities in Sebastopol. The completion timing in with the announcement the facility has just received their international food handling accreditation which is a brilliant outcome.
Since the not-for-profit charitable organisation, commenced packaging a range of hot chocolate and chai products for Grounded Pleasures 2 years ago, the partnership had grown to the point now where products are about to be exported, as well as maintaining growth the domestic market.
Our branch is so pleased to have invested in this project ensuring the continued employment of people with a disability.
BRI Chief Executive Geoff Russell said “for people living with a disability, having a job is more than a wage, it’s a doorway to engagement in community life and enhances the feelings of self worth”.
