Boost for Elaine’s Only Club

At Community Bank Buninyong, we understand sporting clubs are the heart of local communities. And what better example than Elaine, where the cricket club is the only club in town.

We were thrilled to have supported the Elaine Cricket Club with the development of a new two-bay training facility. This project wouldn’t have been possible without our funding contribution along with other community supporters.

Local resident Shane Dunne said, "The new cricket nets have enabled current and future generations of cricketers to play cricket here. It's also important because it's the only sporting club in the town."

The new training facility isn’t just about the game, it’s about providing a safe, dedicated space where the team can practice and develop their skills. The benefits extend beyond the players to the entire community, creating a welcoming environment that encourages more people to get involved in the sport.

Our Community Partnerships Lead Kelly Bevan said "We're hoping this project will result in young players joining the club for longer term sustainability. These are the sort of projects that are about creating lasting impact, supporting local talent, and keeping communities connected which is why we said 'YES'".

We look forward to the nets getting a work out this summer and watching the next generation of cricketers take charge at Elaine!
